Aryan’s Big Picture

Aryan’s big goal then is to have an impact on the environment and surrounding communities. Developing teaching each other, and trying to minimize the resulting environmental impact, by campaigning for the slow production process trend as one way of applying the principle of sustainability. Aryan is sure that sustainability can be implemented in various ways, because the definition of sustainability is incredibly layered, we have to find what practices work best for us and start by focusing on those. No brand will become a zero-impact brand overnight, it’s just not a reality, but any change for the better helps.

Why is Aryan Exclusive yet Inclusive?

The sense of exclusivity arises from the unique Aryan motif, the only one, and will not be printed identically even though the materials used in the printing are the same. This embraces the principle of beauty in difference and imperfection, in accordance with the principles of dynamic and heterogeneous nature.

Simplicity is a principle that is emphasized on the brand. Because in the manufacturing process, the materials used are inseparable from materials obtained from nature. This shows that without the power of nature and the creator, there would be no processing and craftsmanship of every Aryan piece.

Aryan, as described in his brand identity associated with a higher purpose, is dedicated to service and part of reverence for the Divine. The task of this brand is then to use and utilize everything that grows on the earth with full responsibility for a greater interest, namely reducing the impact of previous human negligence, and then returning everything according to its rhythm. So, then the principles of sustainability become the pillars that corroborate this brand in creating wisely.

Aryan is an eco-printing based lifestyle brand emphasizing sustainability, ethics, and slow-processing. Aryan are pieces that you put on your body, your family, and inside your house.

It’s a thoughtful, intentional, and holistic brand-slash-approach to reduce immoderate production, overcomplicated supply chains, and mindless consumption, by reforming nature-based thinking pre to post production creating a unique, exclusive, and modest pieces.

Aryan uses materials that are obtained from mother earth, wisely and responsibly, it also promotes eco-printing technique as a manifestation to highlight what nature can do.

Aryan believes that dedicating our works to the divinity parallels with the absolute role in taking part at maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Understanding the whole image consciously shapes the values then embraced by Aryan

What makes Aryan, Aryan?

Aryan created from the combination of plants. The eco-print plants in Arrayan’s garden have been planted with more than 40 types of plants. Some types of plants that are usually used for ecoprinting are: Lanang (Oroxylum indicum), castor bean (Ricinus communis), Jatropha wulung (Jatropha Gossypipolia), jenitri (Elaeocarpus ganitrus), hibiscus (Hibiscus tiliaceus), hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) , cosmos (Cosmos caudatus ) biden/ketul (Bidens pilosa) Bolivian yerba/coriander (Porophyllum ruderale) , jawer kotok/miana (Coleus scutellarioides), red acalypa (Acalypha indica), mango (Mangifera indica), guava (Psidium guajava) , water guava (Syzygium aqueum), bridal tear flower (Antigonon leptopus), kalpataru (Ficus religiosa), ileng ileng (Phyllanthus reticulatus) i, rose leaf (Rosa sp), chinadoll (Radermachera sinica), curry leaf (Murraya koenigii), legundi (Vitex tripolia) Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), mahogany (Swietenia machrophylla), Bauhinia coccinea, Batavia/Paregrina flower (Jatropha integerrima), african wood (Maesopsis eminii) hibiscus panama red, insulin (Smallanthus sonchifoliu) s), tehan tea (Acalypha siamensis), kesumba rivet (Bixa Orellana), fern fern, Betadine leaf (Jatropha multifida) longan (Dimocarpus longan), chinese ketepeng (Cassia alata) and others.

An eco-print can never be repeated, because every plant on this planet is different. This handmade natural coloring technique by Aryan is supported by plants that we took care of in our garden in Cigombong, Bogor, Indonesia. Yes, we’re still learning to contribute to society by delivering an environmentally friendly products and empower the community around. The Birth of Aryan

The increasing of environmental awareness simultaneously influences people’s lifestyle. Thus, the phenomenon was translated into an adaptation of a back to nature paradigm. This paradigm also strikes out various business sectors, such as household appliances and clothing. Both have begun to look at how product must base on environmental approach and values, so that the impact occurred can be minimized. Thousand ways have been carried out, one of which is growing rapidly is eco-print, and ours is Aryan.

Aryan was officially registered with the Department of Trade and Industry of the city of Bogor as a craft business on June 02, 2021 with the NIB number: 1258000620326. However, the art of processing and dyeing with natural materials such as leaves, flowers, and bark is a self-taught began in September 2018. Aryan Ecoprint, other than practicing fabric processing activities, taking part in exhibition, also conducts ecoprint training which have been performed in 2020.

As the name implies, eco-print comes from the combination of the words eco (ecosystem) and print which means biological or natural environment process involving the transfer of colors and shapes to fabrics through direct contact. This technique is done by attaching plants that have color pigments to natural fibrous fabrics which are then found, boiled or steamed. The natural coloring techniques produced from wood, leaves, and flowers. Natural dyeing is a very slow process, but that’s the beauty of it. It transfers plant color and shape onto materials, such as natural fibers cotton, flax and silk, as well as leather and paper.
